Narcisa Monni (1981, Alghero) lives and works in Sassari and is currently a professor of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Sassari.
She uses painting to express the human condition. Her works are small paintings made with acrylic temperas realized by intervening on covers and pages of magazines or old polaroids that give life to a sort of historical-sentimental novel of the life we have left in the 2020. Her unscrupulous painting tells the intimate and daily dimension with the accents of what, perhaps, could be called an "existential realism" of the 21st century.

After graduating in advertising graphics and photography at the Art Institute of Sassari, she obtained a MFA in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari and a MA in Interaction Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Alghero.
She lived in London and Rome, and in 2010 she returned in Sassari, where she has contributed to animate the L.E.M. – Laboratory of Modern Aesthetics, a rare example in the city of a private gallery dedicated to the promotion of young artists.
