Diana Anselmo

Diana Anselmo is a Deaf visual artist, performer, activist and improvised human being. Bilingual LIS and Italian, during the master’s degree in Theatre and Performing Arts at the IUAV University in Venice they debuted with their first performance “Autoritratto in 3 atti” (2021), still presented in various Italian and foreign festivals (DIS_Festival – Serbia; ORME Festival – Switzerland; Culturgest – Portugal; Theaterformen, Germany). 

Diana is one of the founders of Al.Di.Qua. Artists, the first association in Europe of and for disabled artists, for which they have participated as a speaker at various European festivals (IntegrART – Switzerland; DansFunk – Sweden; Holland Dance Festival – The Netherlands; European Network of Cultural Centres - Lithuania).

Currently, Diana is presenting their first solo show "Je Vous Aime" at the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation in Turin, is accessibility manager of Oriente Occidente Festival and Spazio Kor, with a specific focus on the Deaf community; and is the youngest member of the Cultural Advisory Board of the British Council.
